when i signed my ceiling contract oil was at 130 a barrel. I signed a cap at 597.9 oil has dropped to 80 dollars a barrel and my last 2 delivers are at the same price. Seems like they actually do not really adjust the price of delivery on the down side. a 28 year customer but not next yeardo not get a ceiling contract

Don’t honor service plans

I help out a gentleman who is autistic and does not understand heaters etc He pays over $300 a year for there gold service package. Long story short everytime they come out theres always something not covered and just so happens to cover the tech showing up and fixing the problem that should be free. He also pays for there 17pt tune up which should only make the unit run better well no. Theres again extra things that should be covered.

From the oil deliver, to the representatives on the phone m making you feel as if you are at fault instead of admitting their errors. To scheduling service to your home and the service workers NOT showing up at the time that was assigned. We take off from work to be at home for the service workers they decide to show up after the scheduled time. Then they put the ticket in the mailbox stating that the came but no one was home for the service. If you have the option to go with another company, please do so. This company service sucks!

i paid for a service contract since 1999 which included coverage for a water heated and boiler,when the water heater broke they refused to repair it i have no hot water

The whole problem started when I called December to say my tank is empty and I am on automatic delivery. They told me don’t worry on the truck. I told them I am a cancer patient and my dad who was with me has a bad heart and can’t take the cold. No problem on truck. Waited all day no delivery. Called back the next day said my tank is very low not registering a reading so low and you were suppose have my oil yesterday on truck. Oh hold on it’s on the truck today I said you sure I can’t be without heat. Waited all day no oil delivery. Was so stressed that I am not suppose to be and my dad. Call them and got after hours I said I waited two days no oil. Are u kidding me my dad and are are very sick. Hold on we will send an emergency delivery of 10 gals. The gentlemen came with a big attitude. Went downstairs to tank didn’t realize my husband was there he said is she an idiot. My husband said what we’ll you have 5 gals it would have lasted you. I was sooo upset how dare him say that. Oh than someone big got involved and within 10mins a truck came to fill tank. The first guy says again you over reacted. Really how heartless to say that about me. I was so upset called the next day I said I want to know when my contract is up she said decemeber 18th I said are you sure I said than cancel me as of dec 19th. She said why I didn’t think it was her business so I said going with my union cheaper. That day a man called he said sorry for everything you went through I got a truck to deliver I said thank you. He said I apologize for this I said it’s to late.

Jan get my bill for the oil and and a charge of 399. For braking my contract to early. I called up I said I spoke with your girl she told me when my contract ended. Look it up. She said 12-18 I said than cancel the 19th. Ok will give it to a supervisor. Get another bill she said all she put was you are getting cheaper oil. I said are I kidding. Why would I cancel a month before my contract ends to be charged again. Spoke to a Joann. Called a third time went through the whole thing all over. I said where is the man who called me so I can speak to him. He knows what I went through. We have no record of that. I will give it to supervisor and let her listen to conversation I said great she said you have a fax machine on. I said I don’t have a fax. So now today feb 20th I get a bill for 399. I refuse to pay first because your girl told me when my contract ended. I trusted her to do so. No one deserves to be treated the way I was from your service man and your office sending me bills and putting me through all these phone calls if I wasn’t sick. But that makes it even worse shame on them. WHY WOULD I CANCEL MY CONTRACT A MONTH EARLY TO GET SERVICE CHARGE. THERE GIRL MADE A MISTAKE AND ARE COVERING. I DONT NEED ALL THIS AGGERAVATION HONESTLY WOULD YOU WANT YOUR MOTHER TO HO THROUGH IT. I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME BUT I AM GETTING NO WHERE WITH THEM AND HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF ME AND MY DAD. ONCE AGAIN I WOULD HAVE NEVER DID TNIS IF THEY DID THE RIGHT THING TO BEGIN WITH. Angry

The equipment installed by Meenan almost caused a fire and when I called to inform them, I had a service supervisor by the name of Daniel who called me a liar. I had four techs plus the service supervisor to get my central air unit back on line. I had to call so much that I was left thinking I was getting the run around plus I was given a hard time to talk with a manager or someone higher. BAD customer service.

Most annoying company in existence

We started using Meenan for the first time this year when we bought a new house that has oil heat. The same representative, Diane, has literally called my husband and me every two days telling us that they've scheduled a delivery to come.

Every time we've spoken to her or called the main number back (where we waste our time waiting on the line to get a hold of someone), we've told them that our tank is almost full and we don't need a delivery and to please stop calling us and scheduling deliveries. They've even sent delivery men to our house after we've told them 'no.' It's been like this for months. And the one time we actually had a delivery scheduled, I took off work to be home for it and found out they had rescheduled it for a different day without telling us. As soon as our contract is up, we are cancelling.

I don't think I've ever experienced worse customer service. Don't make the same mistake we did.

Oil heat is horrible to begin with. I'm really not sure why they even make those things anymore and if you've got an old one, why it hasn't been replaced.

What a pain not to mention the stink, the mess, the difficulty of repair, fluctuating cost, and episodes like you've described which indicates an unreliable source of supply. Electricity isn't always cheap , but if you can't get natural gas (which is a poisonous pain itself) that's the way I'd go ; at least the supply is 98% reliable with no calls and annoying suppliers playing games.

Poor auto delivery service

Meenan let us run out of oil in 2016. This year, when we were down to an 1/8 tank, I called. They said we were scheduled for delivery on a particular day. They didn't show. I called again. They said that we were scheduled for the next day. Our tank is now on empty. They didn't show. Finally, after repeated calls, they finally fill my tank half way. They have a "feedback" page on their website, but there is no place for comments! Are you kidding me?

Stay far away from this company!

I have been a Meenan Oil Customer for over 12 years and last year I signed a two years agreement. I called today to let them know that I’m moving in with my daughter and son in law because I’m disabled. Was told that I will be charged a $399 early termination fee. I expected that it’s not my house and I can’t control their oil company and they didn’t care. They will also not close my account so I could get another shipment. Please be careful with what you agree with this company. I also had problems with them installing a new heater. I was promised a date that it would be installed and it was a few days later. Can’t trust this company!

This company takes advantage of the elderly - tapes them agreeing to contracts, etc. Left my elderly mother without heat for 2 days in the dead of winter, all the while stringing her along with "we will be there in about an hour." Delivered to homes that don't even have contracts with them - then expect payment!!! On recent tune-up visit, technician told her her oil tank was ready to leak and she would receive no further oil deliveries until it was replaced BY MEENAN to the tune of $2500! This almost put her in the hospital. Horrible company - don't know how they are still in business!!!

Horrible Early Termination Fee

I recently switched to gas heat since it is better for the environment. PECO gives you credits and makes it a great idea to switch. I called just to let mean in know that I will no longer need oil delivery this winter and now they sent me a bill for an early termination fee. When I called they said that I am not letting them deliver oil so I am in a breach-of-contract. It is absolutely ridiculous that I will be charged that I am not going to another oil company I am switching to gas. This company is a complete rip-off!

Meenan - Coldest day of the year!

I’ve been told that my ticket was on the truck for delivery each day I called, since Wednesdayon Saturday I told them my tank was on empty and they said don’t worry someone will be there by night. Sunday two o’clock in the morning my boiler stopped.

I was on hold for over an hour. Finally some lady, who sound as if she was waking up, said the truck should have been there yesterday smh! Well it wasn’t and now I’m out of oil and I need emergency. She said someone will be there in the morning!

It’s almost afternoon and I can’t get through!

Worst way to keep customers! Looking for a better service

Delivered without ordering and charges me 3.30 instead of 2.70 for 180 gallons

Our fixed price automatic delivery contract expired and as we were negotiating with new companies as well as Meenan for renewal, their truck shows up and fills the tank without our permission. Meenan charged us $3.30 on the invoice for 190 + gallons while the price for this delivery advertised online is $2.70, Meenan robbed us $ 140 in one delivery When I called them asking what was the reason for this delivery, the answer was "We are an automatic delivery company" I replied our contract expired and no automatic deliveries anymore. And even if you do deliver, why charge $3.3 instead of $2.7, then I added "is this how you treat a loyal customer for 3 years" The answer was, "The only way to stop automatic deliveries is to close your account" I replied "Then please close my account" The lady replied "OK" and hung up
